Training for Operators and Trainers BC Worker's Compensation Board regulations recommend lift truck operators be trained according to CSA Standard B335-94, which is also recognized by Alberta's OHSA. This standard requires that operators demonstrate competency in the classroom (theory) and in a practical (hands-on) training session. Further, to remain current, operators must attend a refresher course every two years.
